The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office on Friday asked for the public’s help in finding a man they say tried to seize a homeowner’s property so he could illegally start a marijuana grow operation.
Mario Garcia, 35, is wanted on numerous felony warrants including burglary, money laundering, criminal extortion and marijuana cultivation. Bond has been set at $300,000, though Garcia’s last known whereabouts were not immediately known, the sheriff’s office announced Friday.
He is described as 5-feet-9-inches tall, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He may have recently gone by numerous aliases including Nick Garcia or Ponce Garcia.
“Due to the active nature of this investigation, no further details will be released at this time,” the agency wrote in a news release.
Anyone with information about Garcia’s whereabouts is asked to call 970-416-1985 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 where you will remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.
