The Estes Park Police Department is seeking information related to an attempted assault at the Lake Estes Trail the evening of September 15. At approximately 7:51 p.m., a female victim reported a male suspect accosted her, possibly in an attempt to commit theft, while she walked along the western side of the Lake Estes Trail. The suspect reportedly fled the scene running eastbound on the trail. Police are searching for the suspect, who is described as a male with a tanned or dark complexion, approximately 15 to 19 years of age, between 5’9” and 6’ tall, 140 to 150 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, long black athletic shorts and gym shoes.
