Since July 12, 2015, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has responded to 16 incidents of vehicle trespass along the East Mulberry Corridor (map attached). These crimes occurred during the overnight hours as follows:

 July 12 – 13: four vehicles entered

 July 19 – 20: one vehicle entered

 July 20 – 21: one vehicle entered

 July 29 – 30: 10 vehicles entered

All the vehicles were easily entered because their doors were unlocked. Stolen items included purses, money, credit cards, jumper cables, and small electronic devices.

The Sheriff’s Office urges all residents of Larimer County to take precautionary measures to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of theft. Roll up your vehicle windows, lock the doors, and do not leave valuables in plain sight inside your vehicle. Most criminals will not risk attracting attention by breaking a window unless they can see something they want to steal inside the vehicle. All residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious activity and to immediately call 911 if you see a crime in progress.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or any crime is asked to call Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 where you will remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.
