Subject: Shooting

Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 1300-block of Cherry Avenue in Loveland, in unincorporated Larimer County, at 9:44 p.m. last night after a female called 911 to report a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 51-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. The male was immediately transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies where he was later pronounced dead.
Larimer County Sheriff’s Office investigators sealed off the residence and crime scene personnel processed the scene. Investigators are actively conducting interviews and the case is still under investigation. The female who called 911 has been interviewed.
While there have been no arrests at this time, investigators do not believe the public is in any danger.
The Larimer County Coroner will release the identity of the male as well as the manner and cause of death after notification and completion of the autopsy.
